Who do I contact with questions about my prescriptions?
For questions regarding your medication please contact the physician who diagnosed and gave you treatment. For any other questions the UAHC pharmacy staff may be reached during business hours at 1-800-874-6499.

If a member does not speak English, who do they contact for service?
Interpretation and translations services are free to enrollees. Please call Customer Servicve at 1-901-260-4400 if you live in Shelby County or dial 1-800-876-9758 if you live outside Shelby county.

How/When can I get a referral?
Your primary care physician is responsible for requesting a referral, which takes up to 72 hours.

Where is my referral?
The referral clerk from your doctors' office will need to call and check on your referral. Our Member Services Department can check to see if a referral has been received from your doctor.

I need an OB doctor? Our OB nurse will be glad to assist you in contacting an OB doctor. The Member Services Department can help coordinate the contact.

I want information about the baby love program?
If you meet certain requirements, you may be eligible for gifts for you and your baby. You must call and enroll, for more details cal the Member Services Department at 1-800-876-9758.

Why am I dissenrolled?
Do I still have UAHC? You will need to call your case- worker or TennCare at 1-800-669-1851 and they will be able to explain to your particular situation.

I have not received my package?
The Member Services Department may request a packet for you and you should receive it with 5 days.

Can I change my PCP?
Yes, as a member you may request a change once every six months from the Member Services Department at 1-800-876-9758.

What's the transportation number?
Please dial 911 for emergencies. Non-emergency transportation must be scheduled at least five days in advance in Shelby County at 543-4634, Northwest 1-800-888-2365 or Southwest 1-800-286-7204.

Why am I receiving a bill when I have UAHC?
A provider may bill you for the co-payment you are responsible for. If you receive a bill from a provider for services that are for benefits covered by UAHC we suggest you contact your physician to see if a mistake as been made. If you continue to receive bills, call our Member Services Department at 1-800-876-9758.

Sometimes a doctor will decide to not accept certain insurance companies. If for some reason you doctor is no longer a network provider you will be assigned to a new provider.
